GLF`s Chief Operating Officer Speaks To Keiser University Inductees
Delray Beach, Florida, June 22, 2012 – Sharon Gill addressed Keiser University`s Phi Theta Kappa 2012 Inductees, sharing the value of serving your community – value that Gill lives by each day. The society provides an enriching academic experience and the enhancement of success.
Phi Theta Kappa is an Honor Society for two-year students, with the mission to recognize and encourage the academic achievement of students and provide opportunities for individual growth and development through participation in honors, leadership, service and fellowship programming. To achieve this purpose, Phi Theta Kappa provides opportunity for the development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate for exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars, and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence.
Sharon Gill inspired students to grow as an individual and as a leader, encouraging its members to learn the importance of community service and what it means to make a difference in their community.

Sharon Gill is also founder of the Oasis Compassion Agency, a non-profit addressing the needs of the needy in central Palm Beach County. Since 2003, Oasis has met clients at their point(s) of need through its food pantry, clothing ministry, the opportunity for Biblical and mental counseling, and, through the Career Center, formulating a plan to help clients take the steps that will enable them to stabilize their economic circumstances.
“I want them to think they’re a survivor, a warrior even,” said Gill, who founded the Oasis Compassion agency in a church closet in 2003.
