Forum, sponsored by Food Lion, is from 8am-4pm and will cover the topic of “Maintaining a Powerful Supplier Diversity Program.”

Mr. Wayne Gill will be moderating the Billion Dollar CEO Forum at the 28th Annual Business Expo on Supplier Diversity.  The Business Expo workshops focus on how to achieve company growth, doing business with local, state and federal government, purchasing trends, growth industries and best practices in Supplier Diversity.

Workshops feature leading industry professionals of Minority Business Companies that are either doing or on the verge of doing 1 billion in annual revenues this year.  The SFMSDC also sponsors a Youth Entrepreneur Workshop designed to take the mystery out of finances and encourage young people to consider entrepreneurship.

This year The Firm has adopted the Perez family.  Victor Perez lost his job when he had to stay home to take care of his family after his wife, Flor became ill.  He went to Oasis in need of a job, food and clothing.  He received help putting together a resume from a Job Counselor and soon found a job at Target. Victor’s wife, Flor also was able to find employment in the cleaning business and they are very grateful for the help and support from Oasis.

The winner of the Supplier of the Year award consistently provides quality products and services, demonstrates timely delivery procedures, and exemplifies strong customer relations.

Take Stock In Children and Gill Law Firm came together in the mission to offer deserving low income students the opportunity to excel in their educational journey.  Through Oasis Compassion Agency, the nine year-old non-profit organization founded by CEO Wayne Gill and Sharon Gill in Palm Beach – helping families excel in their recovery to self-sufficiency and workforce placement – the partnership accomplished an evening of inspiration and guidance to the Florida student groups in Lake Worth and Pahokee pursuing a college opportunity.

As part of the GLF Cares Program, CEO Wayne Gill kicked off the student body meetings sharing what is a vision, how to accomplish that vision, how to successfully manage transitions, and community building principles. Take Stock In Children`s students earn 4-year college scholarships through academic and personal development programs. Paired with local mentors, students aim to gain a sponsored college opportunity by maintaining good academic standing, personal development, and staying crime and drug-free.

Oasis Compassion Agency provided the organization with two hundred “Success For Teens” books, donated by the Success Foundation (publisher of Success Magazine) to start the SUCCESS Club, a program imparting Take Stock`s youth knowledge on life skills, such as budgeting and planning. Through a donation from the Carmax Foundation for youth and student development, Oasis Compassion Agency supports education efforts throughout Palm Beach County.

Broward`s Black Professionals and Gill Law Firm offered Broward County`s professionals an opportunity to grow and connect with other area executives. Empowering business professionals with knowledge, relationships and resources, Broward`s Black Professionals hosted Wayne Gill to speak at the organization`s first annual meeting.

Wayne Gill kicked off the series with a keynote address based on his publication “Top Five Mistakes Minority Businesses Make and How To Avoid Them”, exploring good business practices, success principles, and strategies to effectively navigate the business environment in South Florida.

Gill shared with BBP`s guests what it takes to be successful in new ventures, business relationships, and in our current economic climate. As a nationwide speaker, Wayne Gill imparts seminars, conferences and meetings on business strategies and minority business development. With a passion to grow small businesses across the nation, and a heart for youth empowerment, Gill participated in Broward`s Black Professionals` Annual Meeting – empowering minority professionals to execute effectively in their individual pursuits.

The Executive Forum is also designed to help students focus their career development interests by enabling them to peer inside a vast array of businesses and industries.
